Hi!

I´d installed the Vista SP1 and I did expet a slight improvment in at least
the "not responding" area.
But nothing has change for the better .

Why is Vista at a alarming rate turning into Not Responding ???

And how are you going to fix it ???

I´ve had this computer with Vista for a year and at the begining it did not
go into Not Responding at all, but now.......

My Mail program would display "not responding". I deleted most of the old
messages and now it doesn't display "not responding".
The application with the "not responding" is busy and unable to respond to
user input until it has finished processing what ever it is working on. The
application could be written to have a separate thread to respond to user
input, but in some scenarios this might not be a useful feature.
The multi core revolution is rather new and the many core revolution is just
around the corner. I am sure that future versions of Windows will not be
displaying the "not responding" text as often as Vista now displays it.
