I have a dvd rom drive asus e616p which now that ive got it its incredibly
noisy even with cd
is the newer e616 any better
i need a dvd rom drive to fit the asus pundit
looking for quiet drive

Try asking in:

alt.comp.periphs.cdr, or
comp.publish.cdrom.hardware

I think you'll have better luck.
