not locating d:/ drive

after having my computer for over a year, my computer randomly is now failing
to locate my d:/ drive. how do i relocate it? it is an internal dvd drive in
a laptop.

Contact the laptop mftr.'s tech support for repair/replacement. Random
failures indicate hardware problems.
