Not just homepage reset-General Tab actually Missing

J

Jean

Not only is my homepage reset everytime I start up my
computer but when I go to Internet Options, the "General"
Tab is missing. So I cannot reset the home page, nor can
I easily delete cookies or temp files.

I am running XP Home Ed. I also have Norton Antivirus
and it is current. Spybot doesn't find anything either.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Jean,

"Remove IE Restrictions & Restore Missing tabs". Download fix from:
http://www.mvps.org/sramesh2k

Download Ad-Aware from www.lavasoftusa.com, scan the system and eliminate
the malware products. Re-apply the above fix if necessary. * Update the
pattern file using WebUpdate in Ad-Aware *

( Caused by a malware called CoolWebSearch. Also, Download:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip )
