Not in List

Hi

I am building a small Database that hold client
information, part of the details is for them to be in
a 'Group'. This 'group' is really important as it links
clients that are in a particular group. The info then
shows the all the info for that group.

When I have produced the 'add client form' I have the
group as a drop down list (info taken from the Group
table) that is limited to the list.

I am trying to add a msg box to the 'Not in List' option
which will say something like...."Option not available -
add now ?" : then a yes/no option....If Yes is selected
then it will open the 'Group' form to be able to add the
new group, If no is selected then I want it to clear
the 'Group' field for them to type/select another Group.

Any Help appreciated !

Access HELP has examples of how to use the NotInList event to add a new item
in the table underlying a combobox ('drop down list').
 
Hi Jeff

I am working on this project at home and my home PC hasn't
got the Help Files loaded....I will have a look at work
tomorrow on the help files, was just trying to get a bit
further on it over the weekend!
