Can some one please help, I am more than happy with the Anti Spyware
program, but at the moment it is not keeping it's setings, for files
selected, schedule or anything else selected. As soon as I click the 'Save'
button or the 'OK' button in the 'Settings Saved' dialog box that is
displayed after clicking on the 'Save' button the selections that have just
been made (ticks in boxes) are automatically removed.
Every time I start the program from the System Tray it starts as if it is
the first time it has been run and goes through the initial Setup Wizard.
I have installed the updates - same problems repeated.
I have uninstalled and downloaded and re-installed a fresh version from
Microsoft with the same problems repeated.
I have installed the updates again - same problems repeated.
I hope that I have provided enough information for a quick diagnosis,
Bo.

Try this:

Try an update install to see if this fixes the issue:
control panel, add or remove programs, Microsoft
Antispyware, change, update

Good luck

I have already tried this, no result, I have just tried again, no difference
after update.
Thanks for the effort.
Bo.

Hi,

I have had the same problem; the Setup Assistant kept showing up as well.

I unistalled MSAS using Control Panel, Add/Remove Problems.
After the uninistall finished I noticed that the C:\Program Files\Microsoft
AntiSpyware was still present.
I deleted C:\Program Files\Microsoft AntiSpyware and all its contents.

I installed MSAS again and the problem has disappeared.

Hope this helps,

Colin
