Please ignore this if you don't answer non-hardware questions. I have
already posted this question in various Windows groups, but no one has
answered yet. This is not a hardware related question, but someone here has
probably dabbled in this setting in Windows XP...
I have setup a shared folder on my desktop PC which caches a folder on my
laptop. Amongst the files in this shared folder, I have my outlook data
files, but the PC computer won't cache them - by default .mdb etc files are
not cached. I searched online and found that it is possible to change the
files that are allowed to be cached for offline use - I found the following
page (long URL > 1 line):
http://www.microsoft.com/resources/...Windows/XP/all/reskit/en-us/prde_ffs_ypef.asp
It says I should change the 'Files not cached' Group Policy setting. But I
can't figure out where this Group Policy setting is? I have looked in the
Tools->Options->Offline files tab in Explorer, but 'Files Not Cached' is not
a section in there - help!!!
