While I was working on my schoolwork, i used SPSS to analyze data file. I
saved multiple copies of the data file as i moved on with data analysis, for
fear that I might mess up the whole dataset with some stupid move (like
delete variable). At some point, i remember using the set Read-Only function
of SPSS.
After all my work is done, I tried to clear up my garbage. Everything but
one data file is gone. When I tried to delete it, a Windows error message
pops up - saying that the access is denied. I tried logging in using
Administrator and Safe Mode, but the file is still protected. Then I checked
the Security Tab of the file, all users has only the right to Read / Read and
execute. Not even the administrator has complete control...
So my two questions:
1. How is this file formed?
2. How can I get rid of it?
Thanks!
