Hi everybody,
I have four computers side-by-side, one running Windows Xp, the other three
are running Windows 2000. They were all 2000 machines, but I had to upgrade
one of the machines because of software requirements.
Anyway, the XP machine can access the administrative shares of the other
machines without a problem.
However, when I try to access one of the administrative shares of the XP
machine from one of the other three machines, I get the error "Not enough
server storage is available to process this command". If I try the same by
issueing a net use command (net use z: \\192.168.123.100), I also see the
message "System error 1130 has occurred."
All machines have the same username and the same password. They all have
access to one another, pinging works, tracing works, other tools (ftp,
filesharing, etc...) all work.
After a quick Google, I found some advice to increase the following value
on the Windows 2000 machine(s) by three: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System
\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters\IRPStackSize. I've even
bumped it up to 50 (three times the original value) but to no avail.
The Windows 2000 machines are all able to access each others shares, by the
way.
Can anybody please explain to me why I can't access these shares? Is there
a possible solution?
Thanks in advance!
