We are getting the above error message on one of our
machines on the network. The only thing I have been able
to find in the Knowledge Base dealing with this, deals
with installing ArServe, which we are not running. In
addition all of the registry settings listed in the
document are set as suggested.

Error message comes up as soon as I try to access any of
the shared hard drivers/folders etc.

I have a three machine network, No. 1 (2000) can see and
access all machines. Machine 2 (2000) can see Machine 1,
but gives above error message when trying to access any of
the shares, it can also see and access all shares on
Machine 3. Machine 3 (98) can see and access everything on
Machine 2, and can see Machine 1, but again cannot access
anything on Machine 1.

So I am guessing the problem lies with Machine 1's setup,
but to my knowledge have not changed anything from when it
was running (except for putting Machine 3 back on the
network - but I did that after I was getting the error
message on Machine 2)

There are two CD-ROM drives, and three hard drives that
are shared on Machine 1. Same setup on the other two
machines except that hard drives on Machines 2&3 are
smaller.

Machine 1 is the main one, used for graphics and gets all
the new toys, as items are replaced they are handed down
to machine 2, and then from 2 to 3. When I end up with
enough spare parts, then I will build a fourth machine.

Checked out and tried suggestions in 285089. No change.
What logs should I be looking in, a search for log files
shows over 2000 log files, and about 100 with current
dates on.
