Hi Guy,
Here is my situation :
Was partially successful: implemented changes you suggested, and then ran
NIS Network Wizard. This allows for common network adapter to be recognized
by NIS. However, of the three PCs my Win 98 Desktop and XP laptop can share
files with no problems, but my downstairs systems will acknowledge the other
units but when trying to access the files from upstairs units I get this
command:
"\\Quantex\My Docs Quantex is not accessible. You might not have permission
to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to
find out if you have access permissions.
Not enough server storage is available to process this command."
The downstairs units can access file on the other units, and all units are
listed in Network Neighborhood. In Windows Explorer the files for the other
units are visible but I get the above response when double-clicking the
folders onscreen and trying to actually access folders on Quantex.. The
laptop is running XP Home and so is the downstairs laptop, whats'a that all
about?
