DO NOT DO ANYTHING UNTIL YOU CALL SYMANTEC TECH SUPPORT, and it should be a
free call. GHOST has a very bad tendency to try to attempt to define it's
own primary partition as the virtual file it creates during installation.
However, it ****s it up (sorry but that is exactly what it does.) If you
haven't mangled things even worse they can walk you through unscrewing
things.

hi gary,

Can i go to the recovery console using the boot disks and
do a fixmbr or fixboot. would it scew anything if i do
such thing. Right now i am in the recovery console, but
when i type in fixmbr it says the mbr is corrupted
replacing the mbr might make all the folders inaccessible.

Actually now when i boot in with a boot floppy i can
access all the folders. Its just the i am not able to
boot into the OS during the normal .
Can you suggest on that

hi guys ,
I got it running. You need to boot with the 98 floppy and
do a fdisk /mbr. It recreats the master boot record and
everything is kool now.

Thanks
