I'm using Windows XP SP1, with Zone Alarm (fire wall), NOD32 (anti virus).
Something funny started couple a days ago, when I start windows & log on to
my account, only zone alarm & lan icons load to the system tray & none else
does, but when I log off then on again, all the usual apps load to the system
tray. This sequence has been occurring every time now I start my computer for
2 days.
I was used to that 1 application may not load to the system tray
occasionally but that was a temp monitor or a sound control, & not always &
never more than 1 app failed to load, but now things r different.
Any clues?

might be simply a
matter caused by
those mentioned
software.

if you uninstall
them and all works
like it should, then
it wasn't an issue
with windows....

Do a system restore to the day before it started .

Actually all of my applications are the same for a long time now, no new
ones installed for a few months now, but the problem occurred (with the same
applications config unchanged) just 2 days ago.

To (e-mail address removed)
System restore is possible but I don't want to resort to it if I don't
know what the problem is, besides what if it solved nothing..?
Why is it when I log off then on again all is normal again ???

there are many factors
to consider when an
application suddenly
stops working.

which one is it?

Do a system restore to the day before it started .

I tried system restore at many previous points but no change so I came back
to my current day, but I noticed something funny that is happening before &
after restore, all my apps are already loaded & working (found that by the
task manager), they just don't show up in the system tray, & shows up after
my log off, then log on procedure. Will this help in finding what's going
wrong ?
