I imported all my contacts to my new computer and I went into the contact
properties to enable my contact to show in my address book.

In my contact folder labeled Doctors, all my doctor contacts are showing,
but when I go into my address book in email, and select the the Doctors
contact folder to email a doctor, only one doctor contact shows. What do I
need to do to get all the Doctor contacts to show in the address book?

If the folder is enabled, then every Contact in that folder will appear in
the Outlook Address Book as long as it has a valid electronic address.
Importing Contacts is one of the best ways I know of to lose or corrupt your
electronic addresses. Examine the Email fields of these Contacts to see if
that's what you did. Was it necessary to import these Contacts? Were they in
some foreign format that you needed to convert?

Your address book will only show contacts with valid electronic addresses.
Do you have email or fax numbers for all of your doctor contacts?

We tried bringing them over using an ethernet connection, but that didn't
work so we had to export them to a cd and then upload them onto my new
computer. It looks like all the contacts are fine. None of the Doctors in my
list have an email address, which made me think this was why they were not
showing, however, the one doctor that is showing also doesn't have an email
address but does have a fax number. This may be why that doctor is showing up
and the others are not.

Thanks for you quick response. I certainly appreciate it.

Hi Milly,

Thanks for your quick response. The one doctor that is showing does have a
fax number, but no email address. I had a feeling it might be because there
were no email addresses, but when the one doctor did show up, it confused me.
It appears by your post that fax numbers will cause a contact to appear in
the address book so that must be why I'm seeing that Dr. and none of the rest.

Thanks again for your feedback.

The Outlook Address Book only shows electronic addresses. That's always the
way it's been, so this could not have had anything to do your migrating your
data.
