I posted this during beta, and did not get a solution. Now I am runnig
production software, and have the same problem.

I have less contacts in Cached Exchange mode than I do when I connect
directly to the server.

I have found that I can force synchronisation be copying all my
contacts out of the Contacts folder and putting them back in again,
(presumably updating a date stamp somewhere), but after a couple of
weeks, I find I am missing some contacts in Cached mode.

Whcih contacts are you missing? It is normal that you miss the contacts from
the Global Address List. o synchronise those;
Tools-> Options-> tab Mail Setup-> button Send/Receive-> select the
configured group-> button Edit..-> select the Exchange server. Here you can
set the synchronisation for the Address List.

I am missing ordinary Contacts form my contacts folder. There are 636
in the server folder (non-cached-mode) and 613 in the Cached folder.

I have also tried deleting the .OST file.
