I am still having trouble accessing my Windows 2k computer from my home
network where all the other computers are xp. I have set up identical
accounts and passwords on the 2k computer and when I try to access it from an
xp computer, I am prompted to type in a login name and password. When I
supply the same name and password, it says
\\computer is not accessible. You might not have permission to use this
network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you
have access permissions.
Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at
this computer.

I'm not sure what to try next. Is there somewhere in the 2k computer that
permission has to be grated for access?

yes, I have been to this site and it was helpful but it does not have any
specific info for me on granting permissions in windows 2k... can someone
tell me step by step how to set permissions for other computers and users to
access the windows 2k computer? I know how to set up accounts on the computer
itself, but it still will not allow other computers to access it. Thanks!
