Not able to send attachments since installing last windows updates

Error Message:

Subject 'music, see if it works.', Account: 'mail.bellsouth.net', Server:
'mail.bellsouth.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error
Number: 0x800CCC19

I never had trouble sending larger attachments before the most recent
windows updates. I seem to receive them just fine.

Among the updates, was an update for windows mail junk email filter. Didn't
really think it would affect my outgoing mail, but it is the only recent
change/update and the trouble started then.
Help?
