not able to Right Click ->Close, or minimize Internet Explorer windows

Hi

I am facing a very minor however irritating issue with IE on my Vista.

On the task bar, when I right click->Close nothing happens.
"Sometimes" when I click on the IE button on the task bar, the window does
not minimize.

Not sure on what the issue is?

Did anyone else face this issue too?
 
On the Close issue, if you are using tabbed browsing & have more than one
tab open, a confirmation message ("Do you want to close all tabs") will
inhibit closing until it is dismissed.

In the Internet Options dialog, on the 'General' tab, you can click the
'Settings' button in the 'Tabs' section and clear the checkbox labeled "Warn
me when closing multiple tabs"

No, the issue with not with the tabbed browsing.
Nothing happens when I click on Right Click->Close
Or just click on the task bar IE button to minimize the window.
This does not happen always. Just frequently that it has become irritating.

On a side note: What is Windows Shell?

Any suggestions to this one?

I have not faced this issue since I have shared it on this group!

I am just afraid that it might come back and I would feel irritated
