Log in as Administartor and take over the ownership.

From Where exactly can i do this? (take over the ownership)

:

use the help in windows.

properties of the drive - security - advance security
- owner

As Demmpa said you first need to take ownership of the folder while logged
on as an administrator but then you need to give your account or
administrators full control permissions to the folder and then you should be
granted access to the files assuming they were not EFS encrypted. The links
below explain more including how to disable simple file shading in XP Pro so
that you can see the security properties of a folder.. --- Steve
