I am having problem when accessing Hotmail.com using IE. When I try to open an emal, it shows a message: "Failed to access internet site ........ aborted". And then "The page cannot be displayed" screen immediately turns out.

Trying to refresh the screen and open the email again do not help as the error comes out again.

Could you please helps? Thanks

Hi Didi :-)
I am having problem when accessing Hotmail.com using IE. When I try
to open an emal, it shows a message: "Failed to access internet site
........ aborted". And then "The page cannot be displayed" screen
immediately turns out.

Work through the information below and see if it helps.

Try setting you Security to Medium. If your Security s set high, you may not
be able to access the Hotmail site.

And......if you have McAfee antivirus, uncheck the Active X control box.

then ...............

Open IE | Internet Options | Security tab - move slider to Medium, click
apply and then OK close IE and reopen.

or...............

Clear TIF Files
The temporary files only holds so many files, so perhaps you might try
clearing the Temporary Internet Files and History.

Tools | Internet Options | At the Temporary Internet Files click on Settings
| View Files tab | Edit | Select All \ click Delete key, then click OK.
Click Clear History

or.................

Can't open a page in IE

Go to the following and open with Notepad,
C:\WINDOWS\hosts (the one with no extension, not the .SAM one)
then delete any listing reference for the site you are trying to open. Then
Save and close. Close and open IE.

also.............

Make sure your cookies are turned on. Open IE, Tools | Internet Options |
Privacy tab, Advanced tab, and put in the checks in both boxes click
Apply/OK and close.

or.........

Page can't be displayed

or............

Cookie Problems

Tools > Internet Options > Privacy Tab > Edit button. There I could
select a Managed Website and change it

or............

Browser is not set to accept cookies, but it is
