I have two networks in different locations connected to
each other through a leased line using routers. On one of
the networks I have a windows XP workstation which
connects to the internet using a dialup connection, with
internet sharing and firewall disabled.
When disconnected from the internet, I am able to ping all
computers on both networks. As soon as I connect to the
internet I am not able to ping computers on the remote
network. Pinging computers on the local network works fine.
We are using static IP addresses that ranges from
192.168.1.8 to 192.168.1.15 on one side and 192.168.2.10
to 192.168.2.14 on the other side.

Can someone give me a clue what can be the problem.

Hi,

When you connect to the Internet over the dial up you default gateway is
pointed to the Internet gateway. To connect to remote networks on your LAN
you will need to add static routes.
