Not able to open vcard by double clicking

Hi,
I am not able to open my vcard by double clicking on it. Am using outlook
2003 SP2.
Had tried forwarding to others, and they are able to see it, they're using
outlook 2003 SP 2 as well.
Is there a way for me to verify if the .vcf is corrupted? or is it my
outlook that is corrupted? I also know that .vcf is tied down with .ost. Is
there a tool to verify if the outlook 2003 is working fine rather than me
re-installing my outlook or office 2003?
 
You can open a VCF in Notepad since they're just plain text files. Ensure
you've got Outlook set as the program to deal with Contacts (address book)
here: Control Panel > Internet Settings applet > Programs tab
 
Checked under Control Panel, the Contacts is associated to Address Book. Yet
still not able to open the vcard.
 
Indeed. Vince told you to set Outlook as your Contacts manager, not the
Windows Address Book.
You also need to examine what program is set to open VCF files in Windows
Explorer > Tools > Folder Options...
 
Had checked, it's associated. In fact when I open my vCard attachment from my
colleague, it opens up in another email attachment. which doesnt make sense..

had anyone encountered this before?

There isnt any email content. It only opens up as an email with an attachment
- vcard.

I asked you to post the path statement for the file association for VCF
files so we can figure out what's wrong.

I am having a very similar problem. The vCard extension has become
associated with some palmtop software. When I changed the file association
to Outlook, when I then double-click the vCard attachement all it does is to
open a new email, with the vCard as an attachment.

I don't know what you mean by the path statement.

The path statement is the command used to open VCF files. Look at the
properties of the "open" command for VCF files. It should be something like
this:
"C:\PROGRA~1\MICROS~4\OFFICE11\OUTLOOK.EXE" /v "%1"
