I have never had this problem with this website before or any others for that
matter but, now when I try to open www.bedbathandbeyond.com (for my Wedding
Gift Registry) my Internet Explorer Window closes itself out with no error
message at all. I am not having any problems with any other websites.

Have a look in your Host file and if you find any reference to your
stubborn site in there, delete it.

Best if you give your OS when posting.

I have just noticed that when I open your site a Java icon presents
itself in my systray so that may give you an important message. I very
rarely get such activity.

I do not know how to check my Host File. I am using a Compaq Presario,
Windows XP Home Edition. I'm not sure what version of IE comes w/that. I
tried looking in Pproperties but did not see it there...

Hi,
That page makes extensive use of JavaScript, so this may be a JavaScript
problem.

Try these steps:
Go to Internet Options> Security> Internet Zone, set it to Default.

Or, Try the Internet Options> Security settings at
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/restricted.htm#Setting

Clear the IE cache. IE> Tools> Internet Options> General> Delete
files (and delete offline content when that dialog pops up) It's often
recommended that the TIF folder be kept at about 50 MB (Settings.)

Important...
Check any third-party security programs to see if one of them is blocking
scripts, scripting, active content. Norton Internet Security and a number of
other programs can be configured to block scripts.

Try these two commands from Start> Run> cmd [enter]
regsvr32 vbscript.dll [enter]
regsvr32 jscript.dll [enter]

Reinstall the scripting engine. Go to
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/downloads/list/webdev.asp
for the appropriate download of Windows Script 5.6

Re-registering the DLLs listed in this article may help:
281679 - You Cannot Open New Internet Explorer Window or Nothing Happens
After You Click a Link: http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679

Hope this helps,

Take your pick from this site and if that does not work concentrate on
your Java aspects. http://tinyurl.com/b7oau
