Not a valid bookmark

When I try to filter a table by a certain name, I get a message saying "Not a
valid bookmark". But if I filter by that same name and between certain
dates, it comes up. Can someone please tell me what is wrong?

I am able to to filter other names.
 
What is the certain name that you are trying to use? Is this by chance a
reserved word in Access and/or JET?

It's from a drop down. I am able to filter other names. I found out that
when I filter by date, I have to make the ending date the last date or I get
the error message. Example: The last date in our database is 12/24/05, so
that has to be my ending date.

I looked in the table and there is nothing in there after 12/24.

This just started to happen. I was able to open it yesterday.
 
"It's from a drop down" does not answer my question. I asked what the certain
name was that you are trying to use. In other words, what is the value in the
drop down that you are selecting when this happens?

Please describe your setup in detail. Are you using the built-in Filter by
Form capability? Or are you applying a filter at the table level?

What happens if you go into that table in datasheet view and scroll
down the table to the end viewing every record? If you get the same
error message then you have a corrupt table.

If so see the Damaged records within tables section in the To retrieve
