A "beta" without a clear simple way to send bug reports
to the software authors is not a "beta."

15 year software industry veteran.

Post your problems in these newsgroups as the information page states.
It is as clear and simple at the post you just made.
This is a Beta whether it meets your definition of a Beta or not.

A public beta is not the same thing as a private technical beta with limited
membership, allowing for staffing to cover the anticipated workload.

This beta has had more than 20 million downloads.

Bug reports are welcome in these groups. Microsoft reads them.

Wow, you must've been very, very lucky to work on and use only software
that has a bug reporting function. Most of the rest of us have to write
up a bug report and send it to the developers but which is performed
completely separate of the software itself.

Hi there Vanguard:

Well the poster did admit to being a newbie...only 15
years of software experience...LOL

.
I agree !

A software industry veteran who posts in the newsgroup where bugs are
supposed to be posted to whine about how the world doesn't fit his idea is
not a "software industry veteran".

John,
True. He would know he would be ignored for not filing a proper bug report
about improper bug reporting procedure. :)
