I need to know why my Norton't Anti Virus has already expired. I have only
had my computer for less than a year. It should at least be good for one
year.

If it has not, then I need it reinstalled to my computer. If it has then I
need to purchase the program for my computer's protection.

Thanks,

If it came preinstalled on your computer for free then it may
have only been a trial edition. I believe some of the PC
manufacturers include a version which is good for 90 days. Check
with the PC's manufacturer if you think you were supposed to get
the full version.

Are you sure that your subcription has expired? I've seen where
you start getting reminders that your antivirus protection is
about to expire months before the actual expiration date. Look on
the Status page of NAV if you're not sure.

Telephone Symantec too , I am sure they have a freecall number , they can
tell you what you have there by reading the number of your installation . Its
worth waiting the maybe halfhour sometimes less for the info . They can
update your subscription over the phone too .

If it is your license has expired it should not stop your NAV working UNLESS
as suggested above you had a trial version. If you had a valid license and
it has expired NAV should go on working OK except you can not get any
updated definitions.
SO call Symantec as recommended by "Umwhat"

Take the opportunity to uninstall it (a project in itself) and get
something better, such as grisoft. I only wish my college?s IT
department would let me do that.
