Im having trouble with norton virus, tried to remove it, went to web site to
get removal tool...but my computer wont let me download it..is there some
setting somewhere im missing?

Go to Start>Run type: msconfig click Ok Select Startup and uncheck
any Norton entries there. Then restart and
hopefully Norton will not activate. Then try removing.

"norton virus" ;-)

What is the exact version of Norton Anti-Virus you are trying to
remove?

What happens when you try to download the removal tool? What type of
internet connection do you have? Broadband, cable or other? Is the
internet connection generally working properly?

You will need to turn off all aspects of Norton before removal. Have you
printed of the removal instructions which come with the Removal Tool?

Check in your IE security settings... pop-up blockers, ActiveX controls, and
such that might block the download from starting. Same with AV, firewall or
other anti-malware programs that can block web content.

I have the tool, and flagged it "beware". Norton might not be the only thing
missing from the computer after it is run.
