I have recently upgraded my NSW2002 to 2003. During
install there was an error...which said 'try again'. I
did. No go. Removed NSW and all Norton apps through
Add/Remove. No good- wouldn't let me reinstall as 2002 not
removed. Did everything Symantec advised including manual
uninstall. Ended up having to reload OS.

NSW 2003 still reports in registry.
Local_Machine\software\symantec- refuses to be deleted.

Called Symantec- no help.

Any suggestions appreciated, besides remove windows and
reload. Thanks.

Recently had to unload a half-excised Norton Internet Security (firewall).
Tried to uninstall what was left, no go. But in Safe Mode, I was able to.
Did you try any fixes in safe mode?

OK, so Symantec has a program that is *supposed* to strip everything out as
a last resort. When I was thinking about using it, it was for a half-
removed firewall. But it may work for you.

On Symantec's Support Search Knowledgebase page, find RNAV2003.EXE removal
utility.
