Hi,
Running Windows XP Home, Norton SystemWorks 2003 with all components
installed.
I have used Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs to uninstall SystemWorks. The
uninstall went smoothly and removed all of NSW and NAV. After rebooting, I
also uninstalled LiveUpdate and LiveReg. No problem. However, when I open
REGEDIT and search for Symantec, I find a number of registry entries. Do I
have to be concerned that some of the NAV/NSW installation remained on my
system? Should I run RNAV.EXE from the Symantec website? There is also a
SystemWorks uninstall utility. The tech documents say to use those
utilities only if the Add/Remove Programs uninstaller doesn't work.
I want to be completely rid of NAV and NSW.
Thanks for any advice.
Footnote... I'm switching to AVG. My system slowed to a crawl with this
latest LiveUpdate and I'm tired of dealing with the stuff from Symantec that
seems to happen regularly.
