after reading the below thread i thought i should pos this

i have otally removed norton (deleted all symantec reg keys, add/remove
progs everything, live update, WMI update the client, i have deleted the
shared documents stuff in common files and totally wiped it

yet everytime i reboot i get spybot registry alert thing saying ccApp.Reg
value deleted

every single time i boot the system

now ccApp is related to norton am i correct?

so it isnt gone after doing all that i have done, something is still
happening at start up

so can anyone confirm this and/or instruct on reasons for this and how to
remove this

Thank You

Chris

Go to Symantec's web site and obtain the NAV removal tool.

Some time ago i had this problem too... The conclusion i got was
simple: NAV's uninstall doesn't work completely, leaving "trash" on
the registry.

I remember it was a time that Symantec released a new version of NAV
and to upgrade it was necessarily clean all traces of previous
versions. So, they made a tool wich could be downloaded from their
site that was capable of "freeing" the registry.

Great... That didn't work well for me. The solution i used: FORMAT on
the computer and installed AVG free.

I've been a happier person since then. :p

Maybe they made a better version of this uninstallion tool at their
site. Try searching there.

Good luck!
