Norton Slowing Down IE6

I have ME, a DSL connection, and Norton Internet Security 2002. The
firewall included in the Norton package slows down IE6, but downloads are
fine. I reinstalled Norton, but this did nothing. What should I do?

Get Zone Alarm

Its free and isn't as memory hogging as Norton. I use NAV with ZoneAlarm, and my computer has been fine.
