norton scanner begins checking then stops....shows this report:'Norton
AntiVirus was unable to scan your computer for infections.The virus scan
failed because a critical error occured during the scan'.The instruction at
"0x7c911bf4" referenced memory at "07d7d7d7d".The memory could not be
written.

That is a problem that needs to be referred to Symantec's Tech
