KGB took the words out of my mouth - I had exactly the same problem a few days ago and needed to uninstall and then reinstall. I am not sure what caused mine but it's OK now!

Let us know how u get on!

norton

thanx for quick reply.
it sounds like norton itself is the problem then.
i will try uninstall if ?
is there an uninstall program for this as i have been told that
if you just uninstall norton
it leaves files all over the place and can cause problems.

Well, I think that there are varying opinions about this. Some people say that if you try to completely remove Norton (i.e. in preference for installing some other product), then it can be tricky to remove all the various bits and bobs. I have only uninstalled to reinstall on 1/2 occasions when there have been some hiccups. Yes, thee's an uninstall funtion and it askes you whether you want to remember your settings (handy if you are going to reinstall fairly quickly).

Good luck!

i get that sometimes but it usually sorts itself after a reboot, try uninstall and re-install if you keep the settings it makes things alot easier
