Greetings. I purchased Norton a month ago and it seemed to work fine after
install. Now when I attempt to run the system scan, sometime before finishing
it stops and says it could not complete the scan because "some components of
Norton are missing" What the hell is that all about? Where did these
"components" go?
S/V Express 30 "Ringmaster"
"Trains are a winter sport"

Go to the Symantec site and make your way to the 'online' troubleshooting part.
OR,
Just try to get the latest 'updates'.
Sometimes there seems to be a 'bad' or 'corrupt' update and the next one 'fixes'
it.

Which Norton product did you install? Which version? How did you purchase
it (the CD or download)? Is there an error message that pops up? What is
the exact text of the error message? Any additional information you have
about the issue would help out a lot. Thanks!

It appears that sometimes it has trouble scanning large compressed files.
(For a test) You can try disabling scan compressed files and see if it
works.
