I'm not able to run the automatic update of the Norton antivirus, I
receive all the times a denying message with the number 1814. Can
someone help me?

Had the same problem here. Had to turn of ZoneAlarm to get the update.

I know this is a very simple question and please do not be offended but is
your Norton update subscription current?
Is this something that just started or has this been a problem since you
loaded Norton?
If it is something that has just started had you added any other programs
around the same time your problems with the live updates started that you
can think of?
And last.... Have you tried to uninstall Norton and re-install it?

In the order:
1) yes, the update subscription is current.
2) it's started after I renew the subscription.
3) I haven't installed anything at the same time.
4) I did, without any difference.
