I have had a heck of a time seeing and accessing my office XP Pro
workstations from my new Vista Dell XPS workstation although I could Ping
them. My question reading the background below is how I can efficiently
configure the Norton Security 2007 without spending hours on determining
which setting to modify.
I have been going through the list of trouble shooting from this newsgroup
and found the root of my problem - Norton Protection Center 2007. I have
been struggling with to find a solution and not been successful.
If I turn all the default settings to off I can see all the computers and
servers on my small office network and my one workstation with Vista
Ultimate will link to them. I can't continue that way without being
connected to the Internet. Which setting should I concentrate my attention?
I didn't see anything on the Norton site to help.
I thought about unistalling Norton and reinstalling but if there is an
easier way I am all ears. Any suggestions are appreciated.
