Norton & Guest Sign On

Installed Norton Internet Security & it's working fine, I think. I just
discovered that if anyone signs in using the "Guest" sign on, I don't see
Norton in the taskbar & I can't open Norton from within. Does this mean my
computer does not have the Norton protection when anyone is signed on using
the "Guest" sign on?

Is your System Restore and Security Center working? I'd be surprised if
they are after installing Norton.

As far as I know. I've had Norton on this computer, in one form or the
other, for several versions. I just never used the "Guest" account before so
maybe it has never worked there?

I've been using various versions of Symantec/Norton for a long time with no
problems. I thought this was a fairly straight forward question. This is
my first time in this forum & I was sure hoping for some tech type answers.
Are these the type & caliber of answers I should expect in the future? If
so, what's the point?

These answers are pointing to the fact that a lot of issues surround Norton
Software, in particular the NIS.
You may find that uninstalling Norton SW cures the issue you have. You seem
to think that my answer is of little use - your choice - ignore it then.

I wasn't referring to you. The other person who replied gave me a
non-answer. I'm just trying to find out why I'm not seeing Norton when I
sign on as a "Guest" & if it's not working when I don't see it.

You're easily surprised; here's three more right here for you to muse over.
All working perfectly from day one.

I believe that's "normal". The Guest account has some restrictions on it
that even limited accounts have. I wouldn't expect you to be able to open
Norton from that account, the same as you wouldn't be able to mess with any
system settings or files, etc..
