Norton Ghost

I'm using WinXP (Home) with Norton Ghost 2003, which loads itself at the
time of startup and then stays resident while the PC is switched on.
Unfortunately, I could not find any configuration option in NG to not start
automatically.

Does anyone know if this can be forced in some way, i.e. if NG can be forced
to stay inactive until explicitly opened up and initiated?

Have a look in msconfig, see if its' under the start up and check it off if
it is, do the same in the services tab.

Open NG / Click on Options in the top left hand corner / Click on
Auto-Protect / Undo "Start Auto-Protect when Windows starts up (recommended).

PS Do not Undo "Enable Auto-Protect (recommended).
