Hi all

I have a bit of a brain teaser that has beaten both Symantec and Netgear,
and myself for that matter.

I realise that this newsgroup may not be the correct one for my problem, but
I need to start somewhere.

The problem is as follows:

My colleagues use Norton Ghost 9 to backup their PCs and use the email
notification within Ghost 9 to advise me if the backups have been successful
of not. From about the middle of August I stopped receiving these emails.
I have check the settings of my Netgear Firewall Router, Outlook 2003 and
Norton Ghost 9 on all the PCs involved and can see nothing obviously wrong.
Also I am not aware of changing anything on my PC to stop this working. Any
suggestions would be most appreciated as I have been trying to find a
solution since the middle of August without success.

Kind Regards and thank you in anticipation....

Mick

I think that I would first determine if in fact, it is sending out the
email. (change address to another user computer). I would think that if
you are still receiving normal emails, then check message rules etc for an
entry deleting ****ghost***??

Mike

One of the PCs uses Norton System Works and we can see from that the email
is being sent. Also we have disabled all the rules on the receiving PC just
in case.

Mick

Not to beat this to death...but can you receive the email on another
computer? What you see may not be what you get! :>) Mike

Mike
I have changed the delivery email address to another PC with out any
success. The other PC uses the same broadband supplier and I have contacted
them also for help with this one, again without success.

I have reached the stage where I am glad to receive any suggestions and will
consider them all.
Thanks

Mick

Mick...have sent you a personel email. In the mean time, are you able to
see the notifications in the system event log and also written to the log in
the install folder??
Even we appear to be an ocean apart, willing to help. Mike
