I just did an (free) upgrade from "Norton Internet Security 2006" to NIS 2007.

Questions:
After the upgrade the Security Center ..."has not started or was stopped..."
I guess this is due to NIS 2007 taking over (using its own firewall...etc...)

A) Is it ok to restart Security Center? (using th steps below)

1. Go to Start > Run and type: SERVICES.MSC , and hit enter.
2. Scroll down to SECURITY CENTER.
3. Right-click on this service and select Properites.
4. Set the Startup type to Automatic.
5. Afterward, Start the service.

or

B) shall I leave the current setting in which NORTON is in charge of my
security

or

C) can I start Security Center without any conflict with Norton?

Thanks in advance

B) is the correct answer given that D) was not given as an option.

D) Remove Norton Internet Security and return to the store for a full
refund - gaining back many system resources and preventing future bouts with
said software over many things - such as removal/upgrade.

As much as I appreciate the disscussion/war which wages "PRO/CONTRA NORTON",
............ D) is unfortunately not an option.

However, thanks for easing my mind regarding the "Disabled Security Center"
status. I will stick to option B). Grouphug for your help.
I'll leave it
