I'm having a problem with my Norton SystemWorks 2004/Norton Anti-Virus.
Every time I open a MS Word document (Any MS Word document) - the Norton
Anti-Virus "Definition Alert" box pops up - it tells me to run Live Update
because my virus definitions may not be up-to-date - but when I try to run
it, it says it can't get a connection to the Internet. I don't understand
that because I'm always connected through my cable internet that's always
connected. Here's what it says after it tries to update:
Unable to connect to host
LiveUpdate could not connect to your Internet Service Provider. Verify your
dial-up information is correct.
LiveUpdate session is complete.
I bought SystemWorks only 4 months ago - and it worked fine until now.
So I'm asking this:
Why can't my Norton Anti-Virus connect to the internet (to get the latest
downloads).
-AND-
How can I get the annoying "Definition Alert" box to stop popping up
whenever I open a Word document? (or will it go away once I'm updated with
the virus info?)
Thank you for whatever help/advice you can give me.
