Norton AV conflict & excessive cpu usage

The pop-up scan result window conflicts w/ NAV & causes
Windows Messenger (msmsgs.exe) to run at 50% cpu usage
(W/875 chipset). Having MAS not display the results in
the pop-up is one fix. It is ok to view the resulst
manually. Another fix is to have NAV not protect Windows
Messenger
 
What version of Norton Antivirus are you using? there's
many version of Norton Antivirus. what os are you using
sp1 or sp2.
 
NAV 2005 & WinXP SP2. I had the same issue W/NAV 2003 &
SP1. At that time I just didn't protect Messenger. At
this time I need to use Messenger, so I am using the no
pop-up fix.
