Hi,

Recently updated that Norton AntiVirus 2003 with Live Update feature,
now NAV is refusing to be loaded at startup from next reboot. The task
manager reports that ccApp.exe is running!

After clicking 'Enable' in the 'Auto-Protect' feature, and it still
says 'Enable', but there is no change in the system tray, NAV icon is
missing even after repeated reboot.

How do I fix this? Clicking on ccApp.exe and ccRegVfy.exe doesn't help!

I'm running windows 2000 sp4.

You might look around here.

Thanks for the pointer. Now, as I go over the even viewer, the
application log says ....

ccEvtMgr: Application tampering detected, terminating process!

What is going on?

TIA

You'll probably need to contact symantec support.

Thanks. They don't support version 2003 anymore! Now, when I try
starting the Symantec Event manager from the
services menu, it won't start. But then, clicking ":\Program
Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\ccEvtMgr.exe" starts the NAV.

I might have to re-install the whole thing, which I wanted to avoid so
far. Thanks again.
