My boss just bought NAV2006, and is expecting me to load it on Win2000
servers ... I keep getting error messages telling me that it can't be done!

Does anyone know a work-around or a how-to???

good information there ... but not relevant to my issue ... thanks anyway!

My problem seems to be that I have a mixed environment of computers ....
there are 8 offices that I need to deal with; 2 have Windows XP on the
server, 2 have Windows 2K Server, and the remaining 4 have Windows 2K
Professional. Norton AV 2006 loads just fine on the XP and the Win 2K Pro,
but not on the Win 2K Server.

My question then, is what, if anything, can I do to make it load on the
Servers?

You can't install NAV on Server. You'll need to buy the corporate edition if
you must use Norton. IMHO there are better ways. Look at AVG server edition
(for a fraction of the price), or even AVG corporate for a far less
expensive way to centrally manage your corporate AV. It doesn't have all of
the bells and whistles that Norton has and the documentation leaves
something to be desired as well, but seems to be just fine once you get it
configured . There are also other AV products that WILL install on server.
