Hi

I've been using Norton Antivirus for a while but it just too heavy for
me. Recently I heard about Symantec Antivirus Corporate. In what it
differs from NAV? Is it smaller/heavier? What about the speed and
detection ability?

Thanks in advance

It's probably for networks and/or mail servers. NAV has always been
bloatware. There are a number of other products that are much lighter
on resources.

I have it installed on 2 home machines. It will operate as a stand-alone
application. It differs quite a bit from the home user product; doesn't
include script checking, email scanning and has a much simpler GUI. Its
scanning is faster; it can be configured to scan deeper and seems much
quicker at alerting than does the home version. I'll *bet* it's as light on
resources as NOD V 2.

How are you keeping it up-to-date? The version I am installing on PC's
for the office won't get new definitions unless the PC is logged into
my employer's network, and can reach the server that updates are
placed on.

Which version is that? I have version 7.61.945. The workstations at my
employer can either log on to the Symantec server, or wait for the
definitions to be "pushed" from one of our servers. At home, I just log-on
to the Symantec server. Maybe yours is the "Enterprise" edition, rather than
the "Corporate" edition?
