It says now (24/May/2004 3:30) that Virus Definitions are as of 19
May. Is that normal for the people at Symantec?

Thank you,

Barry Karas

Yes that is quite normal. Symantec (Norton Antivirus) normally only
re-issue virus definitions once per week. If there is a major virus problem
then virus definitions are issued on a more regular basis.
Its best to ensure that your Norton Antivirus is set up to receive updates
automatically - that way you should have no problem.

yeah - mine says the same.
I think symantec normally update on a Wednesday night although you can, of
course, update manually more frequently if you wish

Yes, Symantec offers updates usually on Wednesday, and more often if
they think it's appropriate and possible for them.
If you prefer much shorter reaction times you have to go to, e.g.,
Kaspersky (several hours only!)
