Hi
Installed Norton Antispam 2004 on an XP professionel. The antispam puts
a "This is spam/not spam" buttons on the toolbar - they are gone now.

Digged into the problem and found, that the checkmark for activating the
msouplug.dll were missing in the COM section. I could enable it, but it
dedn't help and returning to the COM settings, I could see it being
disabled again.

Anybody with similar experiences?

I have had problems with NAS 2004 too - not quite the same as you've had. I
found that the NAS toolbar was missing and the Norton Antispam folder had
not been created. It appears to be a timing issue with other applications
during the startup of Windows. Symantec's web site says there is a known
conflict with Hotsync for syncing PDA's. I use hotsync but disabling it from
the startup made no difference for me.
Symantec advised I disable all startup items by using MSCONFIG, and restart
Windows and go into Outlook. Hey presto - the toolbar and the Antispam
folder appeared. It was then a case of re-enabling one application followed
by a re-boot and accessing Outlook until the problem returned, with the last
enabled application the one that causes the conflict.
For me the conflict was caused by BTTray.exe, which is a program that starts
the Bluetooth stack supplied by Belkin for my USB Bluetooth adapter. For
some reason, BTTray was pre-loading Outlook - I have no idea why it would do
that. I will be contacting Belkin about this soon.
Hope that helps.
Mike
