Norton Anti-Virus 2004 keeps interrupting as I scroll
through My Pictures, and each time I click on a thumb to
see it full screen. Is there a way to stop it, to turn
it off when I do that? It even does it with pictures it
must have already scanned when it did a total scan of my
hard disks. I tried looking at the Norton thing itself
and didn't see a disable button.

Don't know if this will help, but it won't hurt anything,
and it won't cost you anything. Maybe NAV doesn't pay
much attention to your pictures during it's routine scan
of your hard disks. Try going to your "My Pictures",
right-clicking the folder and selecting "Scan with Norton
AntiVirus". I sometimes scan my "My Pictures" folder,
because I add pics frequently. I do not have NAV
challenging me when I use the pictures; however, I have
NAV 2003 if that makes a difference.

I also have this problem with NAV2004 - I also quite often get a message
"waiting for scan" which slows things up a bit. I cannot find anywhere to
reconfigure NAV to stop this other than to Disable it while I know I can
trust what I am opening.
