Installed Norton antivirus,and am unable to access internet.I have to disable
it in order to do so.How do I unlock. I have Windows XP Home Edition

Are you talking about Norton Internet Security?

Norton AV doesn't block Internet access, at least not that I'm aware of.
 
Norton antivirus is often bundled with a firewall, and that can prevent
internet access. By default most firewalls block all access, and must be
"trained" to allow a few programs to have access.

Check the package/CD/manual for anything about a firewall, and if you find
it, then read about how to configure it.
