It seems that Norton Anti-Virus is not ready for prime time. Installed
it and it sent the computer into re booting loop...had to format and
reload to get back to normal...this was on a new system so it was not
to bad....but if you need file back up before trying this one...seem
to be a bug in there new activation system...

Me neither. NAV is worse than most viruses..

I once had the misfortune of using Norton to diagnose & sort out a few
problems on my computer.

It was supposed to 'fix' my computer. Instead it ****ed everything
up.

I had some pretty important data on the HD and had to do a 7 hour
salvage job just to get it back. The whole operating system had to be
reinstalled.

That was the last time I ever trusted Norton.

To update....I got Norton 2004 working after doing a full re-install
and the loading the 2003 version... I loaded the 2004 over the 2003
version and it worked fine...used to be you had to un install the
previous version before upgrading but the 2004 version installed over
2003....
